Winchester Speedway
The high-banked asphalt 1/2-mile oval is located on SR 32 in Winchester. The seating capacity is 4,000 and an underground walk-through tunnel makes commuting from the pits to the grand stands convenient. The Speedway was started in 1916 and was the first half-mile oval in the United States, which was made out of a clay surface. It is the oldest running short track in operation, and falls second to the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway as the oldest speedway still under operation. Learn more at: winchesterspeedway.com

Sledding
Morton Hill
A long time ago the glaciers that carved out the Great Lakes made our area famously level.  However, a small section along Salt Creek in Goodrich Park provides the perfect sledding hills for families.  Locals’ most popular spot is the hill where Morton School once stood.
